Projects
Peel Mining has secured five key project areas representing about 500 km2 of granted tenure. The Company's portfolio of 100% owned exploration licences comprises of:
Apollo Hill - exhibits the hallmarks of a major mineralised system, showing extensive and intense hydrothermal alteration and deformation. Two significant gold deposits, Apollo Hill and the Ra deposit have been identified to date and remain open in several directions.
Attunga Project - contains numerous historic prospects including the Attunga Tungsten Deposit, the Attunga Copper Mine and the Kensington gold prospect. The Attunga Project bares the hallmarks of an Intrusive-Related Gold System.
May Day - Gilgunnia - contains the May Day gold-base metal deposit (located on a 100 hectare mining lease), and the historic Gilgunnia goldfield. The May Day deposit, a structurally controlled volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system, is a classic analogue for Cobar-style precious and base metal mineralisation.
Ruby - contains the historic Ruby-Tulloch-Rockvale silver-field. The Ruby mine produced about 350,000 ounces silver a a recovered grade of ~620 g/t silver, while the nearby Tulloch mine produced about 50,000 ounces at a recovered grade of ~6,200 g/t silver.
Yerranderie - contains the historic Yerranderie silver-field area. Substantial amounts of silver-lead-gold mineralisation remain present in surface waste and tailings dumps at Yerranderie. Peel is investigating the potential to retreat and remediate the Yerranderie environment.
