Mt Tennyson East

EL 7272 covers an area of approximately 20 square kilometres and is located 200 kilometres wset of Sydney, or about 25 kilometres ESE of Bathurst, NSW.

The area encompasses the historic Kirk and Wades tungsten-molybdenum prospect (also known as Stony Creek). This prospect reputedly occurs on the equivalent skarn horizon as the nearby Mount Tennyson molybdenum deposit (historic resource of ~1.4Mt at 0.11% Mo). Exploration in the early 1980s indicated significant near-surface tungsten and molybdenum mineralisation including a drillhole intercept of 5.28m at 0.34% Mo from 17.6m and 32m at 0.2% WO3 from 22m. No follow-up work appears to have been completed.
